How it works
Five steps take you from an email address to a website on your own domain. Each step is one or two JSON calls.
- Create an account. Send your email to
/account_setup/. A 6-character confirmation code is emailed to you. Send it back with your name and an optional company name. Your brand code arrives in a second email. - Start a session. Send your email and brand code to
/session/. A session id is emailed to you. Use it on the calls that follow. - Upload your site. Send each page and asset to
/files/as PUBLIC. It is live right away atapp.dwalliance.com/BRANDCODE/index.html. - Add your CRM data. Use
/crm/for people and companies and/relation/to link them. - Use your own domain. Claim it with
/domain/, then point it here: use our nameservers and create A records with/dns/, or add A records at your own DNS host. Then ask us to turn on hosting and HTTPS for it.
Step 5's last part, turning on hosting and HTTPS for a new domain, is done by DW Alliance for now. Email support@dwalliance.com. A self-serve version is coming.
Keeping things private
Brand codes, confirmation codes, and session ids are sent only by email. API responses return only the ids you need to act on, such as a file id or a record id.
Each person sees only their own files and notes on their brand. CRM, DNS, and domain changes need the matching rights on your account.
